Kirsten is the founder and owner of English Learning Consultancy. Born and raised in South Africa she has worked for more than 10 years as an English trainer in and around Marburg.

Due to her completing her schooling (Abitur) at the German School in Johannesburg as well as her studies in Marburg her command of the German language is that of a native speaker’s. Therefore, she is sensitive to linguistic and cultural nuances which allows her to coach her participants competently.  

She is specialised in advanced English teaching. This may be in the form of a Cambridge exam preparation course e.g. Cambridge business or general English Certificates at all levels. Additionally, thanks to many years of teaching and translating work experience at various pharmaceutical companies in and around Marburg, she has acquired the essential knowledge needed for technical / scientific writing mainly in the pharmaceutical industry. This enables her to offer various courses on scientific writing where she analyses and reads clients’ documents and according to these ratifies what authors must take into consideration when writing reports.
